It all started at the Christmas of 1943 when Cheryl's mother, Emily, received some of the original Oz books as a gift. Emily quickly discovered a passion for reading about the many adventures of the timeless Oz characters, and began collecting the original series of books written by L. Frank Baum. Many years later, when Emily's childhood passed into motherhood, she shared the magic once again—this time with her very own daughter, Cheryl. Today, their passion for "all things Oz" represents thirty years of collecting memorabilia together as a mother-daughter hobby.
As the creator and star of the Adventures in Oz with Cheryl™ DVD program, Cheryl combines her three passions: 1) collecting Oz memorabilia, 2) her lifelong commitment to physical fitness, and 3) her mission to motivate kids to try to be the very best they can be. By inviting kids to follow her on a dance & sing & play-along journey down the Yellow Brick Road, Cheryl gives us all another wonderful Oz treasure to add to our personal DVD libraries.
